ALLEN PARK — Darrell Bevell threw for more yards than anyone in the history of Wisconsin football, a record that still stands 25 years later, and led the Badgers to the first Rose Bowl win in school history. But then he went undrafted in 1996, nobody showed interest in signing him either, and his career as a quarterback was over.
So he went into coaching, landing a gig as the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at a tiny liberal arts school called Westmar University in Le Mars, Iowa….
