Postmaster General Louis DeJoy told employees to leave mail behind at distribution centers if it delayed letter carriers from their routes, according to internal USPS documents obtained by The Washington Post and verified by the American Postal Workers Union and three people with knowledge of their contents, but who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid retribution.
If the plants run late, they will keep the mail for the next day, according to a document titled, New PMGs

Two drugmakers announced Friday the resumption of U.S. testing of their COVID-19 vaccine candidates.
Testing of AstraZenecas vaccine candidate had been halted since early September, while Johnson & Johnsons vaccine study was paused at the beginning of last week. Each company had a study volunteer develop a serious health issue, requiring a review of safety data.

SPOKANE CO., Wash. — Power outages have been reported across the greater Spokane area as snow continues to blanket the city.
Avista Utilities reports about 19,544 people are without power, as of this writing. Roughly 2,000 of those customers are without power near St. Maries.
Avista says crews are on scene working to assess damage, but have not provided an estimated time of repair.
